Strengthening Our Community

Helping Youth Grow Into Strong, Confident Leaders

Launching January 2026

Our Pilot Program is a 16-week leadership and life skills initiative designed specifically for middle school students. Launching in January 2026, this program serves as an early-intervention model that supports youth during a critical stage of personal, academic, and emotional development. Through structured programming and consistent mentorship, we help students build confidence, self-awareness, and the skills needed to make healthy, empowered choices.

The program combines leadership labs, mentorship circles, emotional development sessions, communication skill-building, academic support, and intentional parent involvement. Youth participate in interactive, hands-on learning experiences that encourage self-expression, teamwork, accountability, and leadership growth. Parent engagement is integrated throughout the program to reinforce learning at home and strengthen family support systems.

Our full curriculum is comprehensive and developmentally appropriate, focusing on leadership development, emotional intelligence, and mental wellness while introducing practical life skills. Students explore career and entrepreneurship pathways, learn foundational financial literacy, and develop communication and conflict resolution skills that support both personal and academic success. The program also includes community service opportunities that foster responsibility and civic engagement, as well as college and workforce readiness components that help youth begin envisioning their future with clarity and confidence.

This middle school pilot program reflects our commitment to early intervention, consistent mentorship, and culturally responsive, clinically informed programming. As we prepare for launch, we are actively recruiting mentors and volunteers who are passionate about guiding and empowering the next generation of leaders.

Our Mentor Program is a cornerstone of THEIR Youth, Inc., providing youth with consistent, trusted adults who support their personal growth and leadership development. Through one-on-one and small group mentoring, mentors help young people build self-awareness, set meaningful goals, and recognize their personal strengths. Guided sessions are intentionally designed to boost self-esteem, strengthen confidence, and empower youth to speak, lead, and act with purpose.

Mentorship at THEIR Youth, Inc. focuses on accountability, encouragement, and positive relationship-building. Mentors participate in structured mentorship circles and individual sessions that promote personal development while reinforcing the leadership and life skills taught in our programs. All mentors receive training and ongoing support to ensure they are equipped to engage youth in a culturally responsive, trauma-aware, and strength-based manner.

Mentors play a vital role in shaping the confidence, identity, and leadership capacity of young people. By showing up consistently and modeling integrity, mentors help youth develop trust, resilience, and a belief in their own potential. The impact of mentorship extends beyond the program, creating long-lasting influence during critical developmental years.

To serve as a mentor, individuals must be at least 21 years old, complete a background check, and commit to meeting twice a month for a 16-week program cycle. Mentors are expected to attend mentorship circles, provide guidance and encouragement, hold youth accountable to their goals, and model leadership through their actions and communication.

In return, mentors receive leadership training, opportunities to expand their professional and community networks, community service hours, and the fulfillment of making a direct, meaningful impact in the lives of youth. By becoming a mentor, individuals join a mission-driven community dedicated to empowering young people and strengthening the future of our community.
